Upgrade to E89 Itch
Enjoyed my year of Z4 so much, especially now I fixed the Cam Shaft sensor issue, I'm thinking of going to an E89 SDrive 35 or M Sport 3.0, part chopping my 2.5 E86. Seen some great examples on Autotrader for 13-15k.
Whaddayareckon? When would be the best time to do this? In the run up to xmas?

Either then or in January as the used car market is dead in the beginning of January.

If you've got an itch and you can 'reach' it then why not, if I ever go down the E89 route they are the 2 models I'd be looking at.
Great time to buy right now i'd say, market nice and flat, dealers looking at a nice christmas bonus, just expect a low blow on the part-ex offer.

Love the 3.5SDrive and the twin exhausts either side. But a 3.0 M Sport is a good plan B. Love the second of these two:
These are two good ones:

Swap the alloys from the second ad onto the first ad and the 35i would be a winnerstep_change wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2017 5:04 pm Love the 3.5SDrive and the twin exhausts either side. But a 3.0 M Sport is a good plan B. Love the second of these two:

35is all the way buddy
Mixed with times
As some will want shot of car before Xmas for money
And then others just after
But also just after people may be looking for an Xmas treat
Or broke hahah
I'd start looking now and also start posting yours up now
See interest on yours and is
Plus pop to dealers as they will want a bonus,)

Lol, may be thrown into the deal then! Hah, not 100% decided just yet. I put two new rear tyres on last month as well. I had to though as they were illegal.

I don't like the idea of the remap. I am all for tweaks to wheels and interiors but believe the engine should be left alone, as BMW designed it.Marlon wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2017 6:05 pmSwap the alloys from the second ad onto the first ad and the 35i would be a winnerstep_change wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2017 5:04 pm Love the 3.5SDrive and the twin exhausts either side. I am not completely dismissive about the 2.3 Sdrive either. This one looks good.

The 3.0 engine ones command a very significant premium I notice......

I wouldn't let that put you off, these 3 litre turbos are ripe for a few extra horses just ask Mr Wilksstep_change wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2017 7:07 pmI don't like the idea of the remap. True Marlon but then you gotta start explaining to Insurance Companies etc and it all gets very complicated.....Marlon wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2017 7:15 pmI wouldn't let that put you off, these 3 litre turbos are ripe for a few extra horses just ask Mr Wilksstep_change wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2017 7:07 pmI don't like the idea of the remap.
