Wow that was all a little intense. Good call from the mod. Having a section specific to member's services ( couldnt come up with anything that didnt sound wrong :o ) is a good idea and will make finding things a little easier.

But was that actually suggested by a mod? I don't think so, and I don't see how having such a section still wouldn't go against forum rules if advertising of services goes on there? Or am I missing something here?

What I suggested was that each member offering a service can add the (hopefully discounted) price to the discount section. They get one thread each and people can post their thank you's on that thread. Those threads also won't appear on the new topics list so we won't end up with a clutter of threads as we do now. It will also mean that people actively looking for a service will be able to see the feedback on the thread without irritating everyone else.

Yes, this does mean that there will be a small amount of commercialness allowed, but let's face it that was happening anyway, hopefully this will keep it in the right section and there will be a whole lot less bumping going on.
