Been quoted €377 for replacement glass so I'll get stung with NCB. Carglass reckon it aint repairable. But I'm sure I've seen 'magic' filler kits. I'm doing a reccy on the internets....

oh dear, worst nightmare
How about covering it with a subtle black sticky plastic shape (sounds awful but I will mock up a pic and post)
Edit: mock up actually looks awful, forget my idea

Thx for suggestions all. Yep, as a perfectionist i'm a bit livid. But it's tempered by the fact that I snapped it up last year for only 600 sponds. Swings n roundabouts i suppose.
Going to try painting some glass resin up by layers then scraping polishing. Have a knackered old fruitbowl that i can practice on...

Going to chip off that top layer around the top edge of the chip. Should lessen the effect a bit perhaps...

That's a bugger! Is that a bootlid opening on to the glass? I thought as all UK cars had "hardtop preparation" there were limit stops fitted to the bootlid to stop it opening far enough to hit the roof?
Hope you can find a solution..

I recon Marlons idea of tape or wrap would be worth a try. Or even a strip colour coded to hardtop.
Good luck

No it clears the bootlid by about 1mm.
It was me being a cack-handed dick and not preparing for the eventuality that one of us might drop it on its' glass edge. drrr
