It's fine. It's probably not "clipped" in as there is a locking catch; hydraulics would keep it down anyway even if the catch didn't take (the catch is removable as it can cause a rattle if not locked down)

My roof sometimes doesnt fold correctly when coming down and then doesnt close flat in the latch. Could be that?
Here are some pics from an old post. Not my car to try and explain what i mean:

I had this, it really was missing the last cm and I was pushing down like you do. I’ve not had a chance to check if it’s been rectified since I had the fluid topped up as it was also making a whinging noise.
Will have a try tomorrrow to see if it still does it

Be interesting to see if the fluid top up fixed yours, if so then it may be time to relocate the motor to the boot and get it topped up.
That last 1cm is so irratating.

It'll be fine @ Vmax.. Facelift models don't actually have the bracket for the tab to lock into.markalp wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 12:55 am Hmmm I think tomorrow I am going to half open it then switch to manual and try and open it all the way by hand, that last 1cm really does grind my gears.
If it is catching on the latch and not dropping down completely Im guessing I can just get the catch removed without issues as the facelift model doesnt have one. However having said that I do like the autobahn and have been known to pass 140ish at times, would that be a problem? (would the wind suck the softtop open if its not latched properly)

Mine looks exactly the same as yours when folded down. I don’t think I’d worry about trying it manually, as far as I know if the roof is 3/4 open via the motor it will really slowly lower all the way by itself anyway as the weight of the roof works against the hydraulics. I haven’t seen it go all the way down on mine, but when it gets a good detail part of my ocd procedure involves having the roof half open and it gradually lowers.
