While everyone's putting their cars to sleep over the winter I'm waking mine up early on Sunday morning for some winter cruising.

-8 here this morning. Brrrr

Looks a far better day than where I am!

-8 might have to put a hat and coat on for that - and I hate driving with a coat on!

We seem to have missed all the crappy weather here in Edinburgh. It's just been bitterly cold, but bright and crisp. I'd rather this than spring or autumn any day :)

Still snowing heavy here, we have about 8" on the ground. I wouldn't want to venture out in the Z for fear of some muppet crashing into it. I wouldn't get it off the drive anyway. 4x4 weather at the moment :)

Winter tyre weather, it's all about the rubber!

Power to all 4 wheels is irrelevant if none of them have grip :D

Some 4x4's are better than others, all depends how the power is delivered to the wheels
I have all season tyres on our Nissan and that thing will go places that a lot of LR products get stuck

True true, multitude of factors, but the right rubber is always an advantage. Especially for the most important bit - stopping!

My Z4 coupe tackled the snow yesterday with no problems on Continental winter tyres, my first experience of them and I was absolutely amazed how well they worked. So glad I got them
