Technically you could install DIS on a unix distribution but thats quite old school.
Quite although I imagine if you're clued up in Unix it would be pretty straightforward compared to the Windows / VM install which is still a minor miracle it works at all but there we go!

Oh and yes the daten file for INPA is quite important, took me an age to find an English version that also worked correctly with the S54 engine. Otherwise as said it can give erroneous information as well as being difficult to understand if it's all in German!

I can say its quite handy. The german Z community is Huge and knowledgeable. Anyone who doesnt speak German is missing out imho. :roll: :wink:
