Don't know the car but looks like it needs some attention. Drivers seat bolster has collapsed, disks are shot.

It has a trade of £12,200, £13500 private add a little more for the car being sought after. That doesn't include age related work it will need. Although it has FBMWSH it will need disks and pads, engine mounts/bolts with its mileage while your their I would do the bearings that should keep it going for another 80k good bit of piece of mind. £1500 for that plus £700 an axel for disks and pads. £3k spend at the minimum. Suspension is old too, done plenty of miles. My struts were leaking at 63k which were replaced under warranty. Its one of those things its got to the point where it needs some money spent on it depends if the spend is worth it. Obviously this is without knowing what its had done, could well have had some work done worth investigating.

Looks a good straight car, body work looks straight all the gaps look good, FBMSH. Get some haggling going and it could be a nice car.

Surely you know that's irrelevant now Tom? the M Being sought after as they are, the market price is no indication of their actual value anymore. What about the ones on here for 20k that sell straight away? they probably book at 15-16k?

How many have sold? Which ones have sold. The amount on AT increases every day and haven't seen any move for weeks and weeks.

Doesn't mean thats how much a dealer would offer you. Books book.

How's that relevant to the OP? He's a private buyer looking for a car..

Seen how much m3 csls book at? And looked at sold items on eBay?

I suppose book is book, it depends on how desperate you are to sell. I was offered £13K by Porsche for the M roadster with 57k on the clock. Although I was buying a £44k car at the time so that may have inflated their offer.

There have been a few that have shifted from when I had ours up for sale but there are still some that have been up since August. Terrible time of year to be selling too.

that's a fact that no one can disagree with - a specialist car like a z4m is a rare car much as is a M3 CSL etc, so book value doesn't really equate to much in the real world...

I dont know if thats true really, there are some good cars at good money others at silly money. I think the Z4M as the car of the moment has moved a bit, havent seen this many for sale for ages.

The Silver Grey M coupe on the forum that was up for £15250 with 90 odd k took nearly 6 months to sell.

Even the 80k titanium silver M coupe was up for 17k and the post was made in September, loads of great mods good to go no money to be spent. Only when it was put down to 16k was there some interest.

If the above car was spot on with no money to be spent then ye the price isnt miles off but like I said you could easily sink 3k into it therefore your at 21.5k, plenty of better cars for sale atm that doesnt include some haggling of better cars to that point.

This is a far better car and good to go yet this has sat for months too.

Been watching for nearly 2 years to find the right car. Nothing is moving at the moment.

Just saying I think there is better deals to be had. Now is a great time to buy because everything has sat for so long.

What is gonna be the right car for you Tom? Seems you've talked yourself out of every single one in the country in the past 2 years!

I want a 40k odd miler and there hasn't been one for sale. Waiting for silver grey and red leather you find me one im all over it. Budget isnt the issue just dont want to buy one for the sake of it.

I looked for a few months and ended up with a silver, roadster on 49k. I originally wanted a black, coupe, with 30k miles.... :D

The one the OP has put up may not be that bad depending on the condition of the brakes. They may just have a bit of surface rust but if the pads and discs are shot then we are into reasonable money.

What were the mircrometer measurements on all four discs when you measured them Tom?
