i think I am right but checking this out with you guys. Will 2007 rear lights fit straignt into my 2004 Z4? anything I need to know about fitting them? cheers in advance

arent they a different shape?

im sure the bottom curve is different, i may be wrong though.

if you are replacing your set i have some pre-facelift ones for sale if the 07 ones dont fit

Correct. They are different.

As stated they are a different shape but that can be overcome just by adding a facelift bumper. The real trouble is that you need a very different wiring setup and programming the LCM to accept them. It's been done but not often.

I agree with others and and much prefer the original design to the later, especially some of the variations available

I somehow thought they would fit, I remembered reading somewhere that they fit. Now Ive looked at them I can see they dont. I have not bought them yet but I feel like Ive messed the bloke about. I made an offer on ebay and he accepted it. I will buy them if he fails to believe that I'm simly thick and bought them in error.

just if you had have and he said yes then you probably would have been able to withdraw your offer, why do you want to change them anyway?

I like the shape of them but the plastic trim thing looks a bot cheap IMHO it doesnt look BMW to me. Always thought that about the rear lights ever since I first saw them

Have to agree with above pre facelift tailights look so much better especially when lit and gives a more aggressive look to the back end.

Trouble with removing french fry is you look like you cant be bothered to replace something that broke plus i love the french fry :D

Would e.mail the seller and explain sure he would or should understand

i dont think many, if any people outside of the BMW/Zed world would notice the difference to be honest.

i think it simplifies the rear of the zed, probably the only over complicated looking bit of the car

yeah sure, mine are clears so they are a little different.

when i changed them i never put them back on, i took them off my old lights by peeling them then cleaning with a little white spitit IIRC
there are 2 little indentations behind it but you can barely see them

Your not wrong there most people who ask me what car i drive are not sure what a Z4 is they think i have some sort of 3 series but when they see the car they are normally gobsmacked
