Completely pointless mod

Post by PawnSacrifice » Sun Apr 04, 2010 11:13 pm

A couple of months ago I saw a thread about adding a second first aid box under the driver's seat to provide additional storage. Mine was ordered before I even finished reading the thread.

About the same time I won a facelift front bumper on eBay - I wanted to wrap the front rail (carbon effect) and didn't think it would work with the original. After fitting my new headlights I decided I preferred the original bumper. So I was left with a facelift bumper (silver grey, complete, which I will be selling if anyone wants one) and 3M Carbon Vinyl. What to do with the vinyl?

Yep... the most pointless mod around, carbon wrapped first aid boxes. Just done now. Pictures speak for themselves...

Pair of boxes side by side, with the kit:

Once I've line with felt I'll be fitting to the car - will take more pics of course.

Pretty impressive hey!

:tumbleweed:

*cough*

Don't spose you have the part number for the bracket to hand? I can't did the initial thread using the search

As soon as I get a bracket mine can go into the car :)

Like the look of your first aid boxes.
Do you have pictures of your facelift front bumper?
Is it a straight swap for the pre facelift or ar mods required?
How much would you be wanting for it?

Bit spookey, was looking at this stuff on ebay as my grills need sorting as the paint is flaking off, thought about CF but will probably go with matt black.

I've decided to drive naked as it'll remove about 10lbs of unnecessary weight from the car :P

Maybe a need a carbon fibre outfit - gimp-style
