Cup Holders - anyone else interested?

Postby Marco - Wed Dec 21, 2011 5:53 pm

I am looking to get the retrofit cup holders. Depending on price, maybe two, otherwise just the driver's side. I was wondering if anyone else was interested, we could then compile a list and see if we can get a group discount (like we did for cruise control etc). The part I'm referring to is:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... fg=95&hl=2

If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll add your name to the list, and then try negotiate a discounted price.

Not in the UK - part of the 'comfort pack' option I believe... Complete misnomer of course because a proper comfort pack would have included non-RFTs... :D

 yeah so did I when I read the manual........I almost broke my fingers trying to get them out until I realised that possibly I dont have them! My work-around at the moment is to have a friend in the car with me everytime I want a drink, I like to call it "Active" Cupholders!

Marco, as you found out from the cruise control group buy, make sure you haggle abit more with Soper :P although you guys didn't buy from them but parts came from them, you know what I mean (cut out the middle man) and good luck with another great offering to the forum

Hello mate, yeah I know what you mean. What annoyed me with Sopers is that their best price (for the cruise control) was the same price as BMWministyle (for the wiring loom) and only £1 less for the stalk. As you said, given that BMWministyle still had to buy it from them and still add a profit ontop of that, clearly Sopers were not interested in giving a a really good deal - I have to say that is my usual experience with BMW Dealers!

I know what you mean though, and to be fair, I didn't actually speak to Sopers last time (I think someone else got the price from them), so I will give them a shout this time when we have final numbers. Can you let me have the contact details for Sopers please?

Marco,

all the guys @ Soper know about the forum now  but I personally have dealt with Jamie (since Joe has left) and he has always given me great deals.

email address: parts@soper.bmw-net.co.uk
tell: 01522-681-680

and do mention that they lost a deal to their not very good pricing and expect them to do better on this deal :P
