OK, fair enough.
Coupe, KW coil overs, PSB limiters, Powerflex ARB bushes, 18" CSL reps, Aero skirts, ZHP leather knob, Whippy and proud. Probably needs a wash

Why would you need two pipes, you only have one back box.!?

Are you supposed to fit one for each bank of cylinders to the corresponding tailpipe? I think I read something on one of the threads (poss this one?) that suggested you get an issue caused by differing back pressures - I can't remember if it was rough running or not the right noise. I'm sure someone can confirm.

This is the Coupe rear box

As said in the post above, the back box on the si has 2 inlet pipes as well as the 2 tail pipes. Makes sense to me to bypass both.

What was the final bill for the two with postage? (PM me if you prefer)
Was the conclusion that we both have the same box? If so would you kindly let me know what I need to ask them for?
Cheers

£38.40 all in.
I asked for BMW Z4 3/4" bypass pipes 360mm centre to centre in stainless. They knew what I wanted straight away.
Yes, both si models use the same back box.

This you tube post gives a good idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODiW8FZEu0g
Sounds good, but the drone at 70mph puts me off

Edit - Actually, I'm not sure if this You tube clip is the same mod you fellas are looking at?

No this vid is a back box delete. The bypass only lets around 20% I believe to miss the back box and that's only at full throttle. A full delete is all 100% straight out. When your just cruising the air pressure isn't enough to to push air through the bypass. That's my understanding from a few days of reading up non stop and there is no drone. I think :?

I had this mod done on my 3.0 si about 18 months ago however I didn't think the sound was overly different, maybe its only at WOT as someone else suggested. That said, if anyone is local to me and wants to hear it in action they are more than welcome to come by.
