Beckenbauer the Z4
After Muddy my Hyundai Coupe (named after muddy waters, because it was blue... du dumdumdum du) met a large concrete wall head on and lost I decided a change was needed.
Enter "Beckenbauer", since it's a big German engine driving forward from the back
It wasn't in great shape when I picked it up, interior/exterior was bogging, roof motor broken, roof wasn't leaking etc but had no "beading" on it from water and a bit green.
But after a bit of work
So far
-Detailed by a local guy
-roof motor was repaired
-cleaned/redyed/reproofed the roof myself then with the renovo line
-All interior/sidelight/numberplate have been changed now for LEDs
-LED Strip fitted in the boot
-Some mats put in as there was none before
-few worn out bits of trim resprayed pewter
-seat backing screws fixed (they were doing my head in popping off all the time)
To Happen
-Pioneer avh-7500bt + rear cam (ordered today although i'm unsure the cam which replaces a rear license plate bulb will fit)
-cup holders and faceplate (ordered today)
-Roundels changed where worn( ordered today)
-m-tech short 6speed gear knob (ordered today)
-Wheels refurbed and resprayed anchorite (before the winter) they're a mess, apparently they're replicas and the flaking etc is common place for them (as well as they'red kerbed to bits)
-Cruise control stalk( hopefully can get this sorted too this week or next)

Re: Beckenbauer the Z4
lol only bought them in some local shop the other day for £2 until i get some plain leather ones (only other options had hello kitty and the like)
i'm 6'1 and the seatbelt cuts the neck off me if i've not got a collared shirt on for some reason, guess it's because it doesn't have the standard height adjustment rails for the guide you get on most cars

Discovered the fuel flap actuator for it locking the flap is busted, got a replacement on ebay, but after looking at how much of the boot i'd need to dismantle to replace it i'm not sure it's worth the hassle lol

Re: Beckenbauer the Z4
Everything arrived (apart from one of the cup holders it's on it's way still)
So it's all fitted, reversing cam light was wayyyyy to small as i thought it would be, might buy a bulb holder try to mod it, but the thought of taking the stereo out again ...feck it
Bought a half car cover as well for when it's parked up at home each night and snow/rain is constant

rear cam (lit's a license bulb type looks miles to small might have to get a holder and mod it.)
-Roundels changed where worn( got them just need it to be dry and fit)
-Wheels refurbed and resprayed anchorite (before the winter) they're a mess, apparently they're replicas and the flaking etc is common place for them (as well as they'red kerbed to bits)

Re: Beckenbauer the Z4
oh aye there's already a short aerial on it, changed it from the standard version an hour after buying it forgot to stick it in the list of stuff.
if i could get the plastic creaking noise from the passanger window sorted i'd be overjoyed it's driving me nuts, sprayed this stuff down most of the seals i think might be causing it and it's still doing it.

Re: Beckenbauer the Z4
getting rid of the ginger with red tint was a no go, ended up with pure red lights, removing it with donor lights would've cost a 200-300 for just the fronts easily so went with flyeye, might need to order another £10 kit to give the driver side another go but not bad for a first attempt.
Before
After
and the clear side indicators i fitted last week with the carbon emblem

Re: Beckenbauer the Z4
aye just need to either buy new wheels or get those refurbed.
fancy getting 19" anchorites, and using these with winter tyres on them, but i've nooooooooo clue what all the wheel specs means at all (the ET/ 8.5 blahblah) stuff
just need to know what 19" fit without rubbing/having to get arches rolled and what size tyres go on them and i'd start looking
