Hello all newbie here, first post, please be nice.
I am in the market for buying a used Z4, I have seen a few and would like to check the optional extras for a Z4, I have got the VIN no. Having had a look on this forum and others it seems as though you can check the extras a Z4 came with out of the factory by using a number of VIN decoder tools and entering the last 7 digits of the VIN. These recommended VIN decoder tools (listed below) I have tried have all failed to show the extras for the vechicle. I Have also tried the method of using the BMW parts catalogue, but it seems the grey "Options" button no longer appears. Bearing in mind the posts that suggest these methods are quite old now (2012) I think can someone suggest a working up to date method that I can use to check extras?
Recommended sites with VIN decoder tools which I have tried already:
http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/ (German)
http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html (English)
http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/
Any help if appreciated.
Regards

Hi Angie4m, Thanks for your reply and suggestion. I have just tried the site you suggested but I get this message "Unfortunately, your search returned no results." This seems to be the same issue I'm having with some other sites too. Its soooo frustrating!Angie4m wrote:Hiya, I always use http://bmwvin.com/my/protect/new-rewrit ... om&ssl=off you'll need to sign up to use it but it's trakky quite good.
Do you know whats going wrong?
Thanks
