It might be worth buying some latex mechanics gloves as them hands will take some cleaning. :D

Got to do this to our z3 brakes to tidy them up, looks loads better :thumbsup:
Your going to have to get those hands acid dipped & shot blasted to clean them up Jonny :rofl:

Lovely job. Need to do mine, but been putting it off as I want 325mm discs and calipers.

Calipers look great but I dont think you should have sprayed the disc surface. :(

Jonny, petroleum jelly can break down some rubbers, not a good idea to use this.

I'm afraid the advice is sound Jonny - same reason Vaseline should not be used as a lubricant with condoms :wink:

Clean it off - thoroughly - and use something else if you really need to :thumbsup:

Not sure about paint on the discs either, but you've done a cracking job overall, the calipers look ace.

Well done for the refurb JE - did those discs have the Mtec coating? I'm getting a set soon but won't pay the extra if they did and looked like that!
