To be honest for a first stab im impressed.
You could always get an air duct from the grill to the filter and make a heat shield on the engine bay side of the filter

water injection uses little to no space under the hood.... most systems lot mount a tank or use the washer tank, its literally just a line with a atomised spray nossel, very neat and very easy to implement.

Here's my water/meth injection:
Apologies for the dirty engine bay, as the car was a daily driver.
The water helps cool the intake temps while the methanol is effectively like running race gas all the time. The progressive controller is set so the spray comes on at 4 psi on my car (9 psi is max boost). I used about 10% of the water/meth tank after 2 full tanks of gas. It doesn't take much. Setup is key.

Thanks for the pics and info. Do you have a nozzle before and after supercharger?
Think I will do that in spring time next year:)

Only after. The nozzle should be positioned so it's not spraying directly onto any sensors (I'm not sure what sensors the N52 has). The trunk-mounted tank and pump are actually fastened to a carpeted board, so I can pull the whole thing out in less than a minute. It's very clean.

Look like a neat set up. Your going to have fun developing that further.

Re: First ESS Supercharged N52 Z4 dynoed
the key OP is to get the nozzle are far away as possible from the intake so literally right after the s/c in your case. You want the fluid to atomize correctly and chill the air down, it also has a lovely effect of steaming cleaning the internals of your engine! WMI can simulate using race grade fuel in the right conditions. Just install it in a way thats unobtrusive so you can remove when you want without any mods to the actual car / wiring.

This is a really cool mod! Could you load a video of the car running with the supercharger? I'd like to see/hear it under the hood at startup, idle, & revs.

Re: First ESS Supercharged N52 Z4 dynoed
When I'm starting to finish the car I will post a video. The car has always been in pieces either engine, body or interior vice since I started modding it.
My interior is in pieces for the moment, it's time to get started
