Jamie's Monaco blue coupe

Post by jamie_z4 » Sun Oct 04, 2015 2:12 pm

Right guys after a short period of ownership in a e85 2,5i roaster with the 177bho engine I was less than impressed with the performance even post remap - so I thought rather than wasting time & effort on a car that didn't really float my boat, I thought I'd go all out & get what I wanted initially.

This one came up last week & I phoned the dealer explaining my situation & weather he would be interested in my roaster - luckily he was, we struck a deal & I went down to Nottingham yesterday to fetch it,

The car is a non flimper spec. Some info

2008 model
Monaco blue
Champagne individual leather
Piano black dash individual
Style 135m wheels with mixed tyres
Aux in
Bluetooth
Pdc
Mfsw
Chrome line interior
Extended storage
Cruise control
Bi xenons
Heated seats

Think it's pretty well specced!
The performance is astonishing I forgot how quick they are.

Only faults I've found are;

Rocker cover gasket is leaking
Alternator bearing is noisy
Rust on boot lid (gonna go to Bmw for that)

Just plans are to tidy up & keep mint!

Did a quick machine polish on it this morning dressed & cleaned engine bay & cleaned leather with glip tone

Thanks guys! Oh my bad I thought flimper spec was just a s**t spec, it has everything bar nav (which is useless anyway!) so I'm pretty happy with it

Yeah i think it's pretty rare colour combo!

To be fair it is a genereic term for low spec, but mainly aimed as Sat Nav.

Flimpers car is preety well spec'd including Extended leather. But he has no Nav or BT, which is a real pain in the ass when he flew past us on the M4 recently when the rest of us pulled into the services

Great transformation on the engine compartment.

Great colour combination, I do like a cream interior on a blue car. You've given me itchy feet, caught myself looking around this morning.

Cheers Taz will do :)

thanks guys.

Just trying to get the dealer to cough up for this valve cover gasket (rocker cover) but i doubt i'll be sucessful.

Looking @ Aprox £400 @ BMW for it or 250 at an independant ? Sound about righT? i know i've done a M54 before that was a lot easier, this one has an oil cooler on it & fancy valvetronic stuff.
