Do you mean on the wheel itself? Not sure because say you parked next to a kerb, the chance of damaging the wheel are the same regardless of the wheel offset, is that right?

why not just get the Z4M wheels, then you'll have the right look you want with no bolts sheering off!

I'm sure the manufacturers set the wheel at a position that in their opinion is the best compromise between looks, suspension design/wheel size combinations and keeping the exterior of the car clean from dirt and spray.

In particular the last one in wetter countries it's no use having the 'look' if the car is plastered in dirt at the first puddle

Thanx for the pics! I think the spacers make the wheels look much better. I do think the rears could come out a touch too just to make it perfect

Do you remember if you've got the bolt on or bolt through type?
Thanks, the Z is my baby. I too question why auto manufactures don't bring out the wheels more. I remember in an interview with Bob Lutz with Chrysler now with GM that he mandated all new designs coming from GM to have the wheels brought out to the arches. He said the cars would look more substantial and sportier. I have to agree with him. My other ride is a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I even installed wheel spacers on it.

Oh yea, the spacers I ordered for the Z are hub centric. I ordered the spacers off ebay and had to order the bolts seperately.

I think that seems the way to do it. Get the spacers then bolts. Will have to work out what size bolts I need.

No, on the fender and body. I'm thinking that if the wheels are comptetely aligned with the fenders, the debrees that get stuck in the tire thread would hit the fender. Particularly with the front wheels since they steer...

Has that been done often? (Excuse my ignorance, have been Zless for a couple of years). Would 19" 9.5j z4m wheels fit a 3.0 coupe without arch work for example?
Cheers
