Thanks I did find that prior to posting (don't want anyone to think I didn't try a search first! )
I was kinda hoping someone had figured out a way to do the electronic speedo and dash clock illumination since you wrote that. Oh well !

If the base parameter isn't there then it can't really be done.

Put a change over switch connected to IGN for the dash illumination. If you're worried about errors then pull it out and see if it throws any up, as that's all you'd be doing with the switch.
