that really lifted the whole front end! I dislike the chrome headlights but other than that I love it.

haha thanks guys, I've always loved chrome headlights I've never really seen many cars come from factory with really dark black headlights and with OEM in mind i didn't want to give it that over the top modified look

How did you get the m4 bumper to fit the bonnet/lights?
Did you have to cut the two bumpers and bond together?
Looks amazing by the way. I don't have the time or the money let alone the balls to do something like this!

yeah pretty much. cut both bumpers in half keeping the fixtures of what the z4 uses at the top ( headlight recess etc ) and then the fancy new bottom bit from the m4 - we had to use a bonding agent that was £250 a tube ( used 3 of them ) it was some industry level bond that melted the two and then set as if it had never been cut. then coats of fiberglass etc you get the idea. the whole front end cost nearly the same as painting the car when you include grills etc from BMW but I feel if I didn't allow for the cost we would have ended up with an m4 style looking bumper that wasn't 100% how I wanted. With my goal to keep the front end as OEM to a BMW car as possible and not kill it with an OTT body kit, i think its about theredhobbs wrote:How did you get the m4 bumper to fit the bonnet/lights?

Looks very nice - assume you're not driving around Hull roads with that front clearance though Did you fit air suspension (can't remember from our conversations and too lazy to trawl back through the posts...)
When you come to the watermill meet, you'll have to let Mac know you can't park in the fields or paddock due to clearance!

That works really well, updates the front end and doesn't look out of place at all.
