DOOR MEMBRANE

Post by peterh » Tue Jan 17, 2017 2:04 pm

The membrane on my passenger door is ripped and allows water into the cockpit. If the membrane was intact where would the water drain from that is allowed to enter behind the door membrane?

There are drain holes in the bottom of the door.

DOOR MEMBRANE

Torn membrane is one of the many reasons for water ingress on z4s.
Mine was torn when I put in extra speakers in the door, I used some CT1 sealant to attach it back to the door and taped up the tears.
Better now.

Check your drain holes as wingnut suggests but more than likely the membrane. Do a search on here for taking the door cards off.
