Angel eye and full light upgrade

Post by BREEDUS » Mon Jan 16, 2017 11:17 pm

Hi I have a 53reg z4 I want to upgrade my lights to angel eyes can this be done!? My lights are xenon factory fitted? At the same time of doing this I want remove the orange indicators from the light and replace with clear, I can't find the inserts online so will tint the orange as a secondary solution, Can somebody advise were I can get this job done.

I really appreciate your advice.

There are no OEM angel eye replacement headlights for the Z4, if that's what you're asking? Ie, they're all aftermarket.

Hi.
I have a 2007 Z4 and it has Xenon and angel eyes, all OEM.
Although there is only one ring per side and the current candle/bulb is yellowish compared to the Xenon. The bulb is a BA9S bulb in a BMW specific holder but can be separated if you wish. Some have up'ed the wattage from 10W to 20W will no ill effects. Not sure if LEDs are any good.

Note, mine is a facelift and yours a preface. You could swap your lights for some facelift (not sure if the connectors/wiring is the same though).

Good luck.

Motor in boot. Bilstein B8 dampers. New radio, much better sounds

No mate, sorry. I had a quick search online last night but everything seems to be for halogens. I thought the US market ones might be good but then realised even if you could find anything, they'd be pointing the wrong way :( . Good luck with the hunt.

If you don't want to do it yourself and you want to keep the xenon lights then you need pre-facelift clear xenon headlights from BMW which were around £700 each last time someone posted the price.

I was/am in the same boat myself. I'm after some facelift xenon lights these come with one angel eye halo (not duel unfortunately) and are a relatively straight forward swap. I say relatively because some wire modification is required to get all the elements working again. This removes the orange hockey and adds angels in one go.

If I can't find them (I've been looking for a few months) then I'll have to go down the cutting route. Which I want to avoid if possible.

You can't get angel eyes which are xenon and 'off the shelf' so far as I know.

Where you based? Maybe we can tackle this one together sometime in the future!!
