Fitted my 224s bought from Smeg this week. Love them - fill the arches nicely and really suit the car IMO.
While I was at it thought I'd do the calipers in silver as well.

Thrashed it round the Peak District for a solid 4 hours, and was grinning every second. Even managed to keep the roof down for the day, the odd ominous dark cloud appeared but didn't amount to any rain fortunately.
First proper chance to take this car out the routes I drove the old one regularly, and to say it puts the old car to shame is an understatement
Happy bunny this evening

Got a new set of con rod bearings for the S54 at 65k miles, and really glad I had it done. Some raw copper showing through in places on the old ones.
Plus new engine mounts, made it feel even nicer to drive.

What have you done to your car today?
Five weeks after fitting cruise control arm and running in the loom, found a couple of hours this morning to make all connections and then out for a test drive. Bliss, all works well. Took me the first 5 or so miles of a 20 mile run to stop flashing others wilst I got used to where the stork is tucked away. Now we're sorted and such benefit when in built up ares or lower speed limits. Used to spend so much time watching the needle at 30mph, fighting to keep it down, that I was not concentrating on other parts of my driving. Next on the bucket list is the trip North to see Dave and get the roof motor relocated.
