I can indeed open the cap :D , I was expecting the cap to be covered completely as I've seen that most braces do cover it on z4's. I've got the 2.5si, I'm not sure if it would cover the other models as the covers may be slightly different. There's not much clearance at all above the cover, made to measure is an understatement.

I was surprised to see a reference to the e89 on the badge

Headlights were in much need of a refresh, was going to sand them and polish but thought I would have a quick go by hand with Meguiars Ultimate Conpound. Came up pretty well :)

That's good, I assumed it wouldn't so I liaised with them directly before buying the M version. Mine is the 3.0si but it's the same engine cover.

Gave the interior good valet, cleaned and treated the seats with leather balm, and used a magic sponge on the aluminium trim to remove all marks and stains.

Went for MOT and to get alignment checked after my tinkering, Passed mot no problems and alignment was miles out, got realigned to M settings, not sure what difference is but feels a million percent better. :D :driving:

Having recently unwrapped a custom covers roof cover for my birthday I finally got a chance to pop it on for the first time earlier. Needs to settle down as it's probably been folded in its bag for months.

Although I can't sing it's praises in terms of durability etc it looks to be high quality and it took two minutes to fit first go.

Washed the car and Renovo'd the roof. Fixed the wiper park position and also de-squeaked them when I had them off. Broke the compulsory clips on the wiper tray :headbang: and dropped a plastic rivet down the engine bay :headbang: :headbang:.

Glue gun fixed the broken clips, ordered new rivets from ebay and some high-G cornering will shift the dropped rivet from the engine tray. :P

Fitted my new seats after a hot air gun shrinking and Meguiars cleaning session. They look a lot better and will suffice until a possible re-trim later this year.
