So when you say quad what are your plans? T off or splitting and going like Christmas did?
Thanks MM! :)

Not sure! I'm thinking at this point just to T off, at this would be the easiest. Splitting like the M model would require battery relocation, etc, etc. So like I said, my current stance is just a simple T. If I "finish the Zed" (don't know if that's even possible!) and I feel there's nothing else to tweak or improve then I'll go about the Y split as the last challenge! :fuelfire:

Splitting like Christmas? :?

Cheers, Kis.

You dont need to do anything to the battery box. I didn't when i made mine. It dose how ever mean you need a small silencer so a loud exhaust.

Get in touch when you come to do it. I may be able to help or certainly could offer some advice. I have done them both ways.
My little blue zed is in lots of bits. With lots of things started and not many finished! I may have found the limits of my time and ability!!

Hmm, this could be an option in the future then. I'd really rather not mess about with battery! I know some have mimicked the M setup and relocated the battery to the boot :?
Poorly thought out on BMW's part to waste space like that TBH.

I will definitely let you know when the time comes, I've all the parts I need (I think) for the rear upgrade. Consisting of facelift lights and M bumper. Just need some time now and good weather so I can take a look. And then actually install!

Good read so far kis, looking forward to the updates!! :fuelfire:

My quad is kinda a "Y" and a "T" combined I suppose? And no battery relocation involved (although the pointless charcoal filter was moved over an inch...... only tonne conpletely taken off at a later date when lowering/wider wheels were fitted)

So it went for MOT yesterday and passed with flying colours. Not a single advisory 8)
Pretty chuffed with that!

Before it went into the indie I did the following:
-Crack fog replaced
-Headlights restored
-Rear springs replaced
-Black grill set installed

While it was in with indie and just prior to MOT it had:
-SMG fluid top up
-Diff oil change
-Gearbox oil change

Noticed some smoke from drivers side of the engine which I attribute to a shot rocker cover gasket. I did flag this with the indie but while it was in he didn't notice it. Maybe it's my hawk like eyes! I think it's also the start of the issue, so it's not progressed in severity just yet. So that's on my list next (and if that doesn't solve it then I'll be taking it back to him sharpish!)

I have my new bonnet to wrap and install. Which will happen after I've sorted the rocker cover... watch this space!   :fuelfire:

Loving what you are doing and done, looks like a great base car to start with too.
Just i had always had one of those on my 'List of things to do', then told myself to STOP modding.
I think im being bitten by the bug again though. This Forum is bad for my health (and bank balance and relationship lol).

Haha don't worry I know 8)
Cheers buddy. Appreciate it!

Well... The forum is bad for everyone's pocket! Not that I'd change anything, it makes me appreciate the car more, and with that appreciation the driving pleasure is that much sweeter too.

So had an issue with one of my Ali pedals being a tiny bit loose. So took them all off, clean and re applied securely. Much better now!

So had a busy Saturday with BeeEmm, who helped me out with cleaning and detailing the Zed. Very informative and friendly, so had a great day with him and the Zed. As a newbie in detailing, I've definitely learnt how to look after it better! Big thank you to BeeEmm once again, if you've not seen his Coupe already check this link out from earlier this year.
