Yes I'm probably overreacting and yes most of it will probably buff out, (excepting the broken plastics in the grille). It just makes me livid, when some 'person' drives into your parked p&j and just buggers off.
Rant over and thankyou for your kind indulgence.

I would recommend a dashcam, then you'd possibly have their number and the evidence.

This was when it was in its TD05 incarnation & pushing out 200rwbhp on this dyno. I changed to the smaller TD04 l13t as it would spool quicker. Also I didn't crap myself every time it hit full boost.Beedub wrote:sorry about the damage

So intensely upsetting when stuff like this happens. Really brings home the fact that there really are some awful folk out there who know the strife it will cause but this bunch have no sense of guilt when it comes to something like this and are probably celebrating the event somewhere now.
Dashcam as stated earlier is the ticket (unless your whole car disappears......)
Feeling your pain as I've been there on three occasions now.

Feel for you,I know. I would want to exact revenge ,not just for bumping your car as this can happen to anyone, but for driving off.Where did it happen.

Hate seeing things like this
No excuse for it either, if people can't tell if they are too close why can't they just get out and have a look!?
I was parked in Tesco not long ago and parked in a space behind a car that was already there, it did cross my mind that with a low and long bonnet the car in front probably couldn't see anything below half the windscreen. If ever I'm parking in a space with another in front of it I normally reverse in now so they can judge the space better. Can't always be done and it doesn't help in a parallel park scenario... just my two cents worth.

What a sickener Have you released the bonnet catch as the gap seems large? Pull the passenger grill out and check radiator is ok. Smart repair will fix the bumper. Sometimes there are shop CCTV cameras that might have caught the culprit

Whilst it's a blood boiler for sure it's not always someone being a t**t, there are lots of elderly folk that have no choice but to drive to a supermarket etc, they really don't know they've hit something. That doesn't make it right but it not always a selfish ignorant git that causes it. I'm afraid it's all part and parcel of having a car, not everyone is with it 100%.
Hope it buffs out ok with minimal cost.

Hardly an indulgent rant, unfortunately you earned that one. Get it sorted back to shiny smooth and get on with enjoying your P&J.
