M Rear Bumper Splitter / Diffuser
Hi all,
As per the title me and JINGLE have our hearts set on a diffuser similar to that seen on the FancyWide website. Some pics to wet your appetite!
If we can gather enough interest hopefully dans6490 will be able to replicate one, not to dissimilar from the Ram Air Scoops he made.
I've created a poll so that interest can be gauged before we go ahead. I previously raised concerns about the reduced rear end ride height post modification, the replicated diffuser wouldn't be quite so aggressive (see pictures to give you an idea of clearance). This would enable you to still use it day to day without fear of ripping the diffuser off as you hurdle your first speed bump.

Looks great on the M, but I wonder if the lack of 2nd exhaust on the non M's would look a bit odd? Like something is missing?

Probably on a single exhaust set up but then there a few non-M's out there running the duel exhaust set up (or quad set up). This is my end game eventually so will all go together nicely IMO.

Looks a bit need for speed compared to a more subtle one.

I like it, but a bit too much for my lowly 3.0
Myself and a few others went the cheaper, less impact one

Like the integration of the pic I posted above but nobody makes them or they are advertised but not available

I love the aggressive look of the fancy wide version!! Just a shame it's so expensive and hard to get as it's from Russia!
If this doesn't happen tho I wouldn't mind having 1 of the 1s Ranski suggested, do you have a link?
I looked online but so many available and universal fitments etc it's hard to see which 1 would work?

Looks like quite a few ebayers sell these now, i think we paid £120 + import tax (from a USA seller)JINGLE wrote:If this doesn't happen tho I wouldn't mind having 1 of the 1s Ranski suggested, do you have a link?

I just want a decent front splitter! Well, really want the M front end but dont want all the hassle that comes with sourcing all the extras, spraying/repairing etc.

It is agreesive and I'd be keen to see how it's works with my aftermarket (MM) quad as from these pics it looks quite tight to them M exhaust set up. Might be an optical illusion though.

Think we're waiting on more interest buddy. I might settle for something like that eBay link as well... not much interest so doesn't make buying and fabricating just one or two that feasible.

Being tight isn't an issue. As I mentioned we'd tweak it a bit, it does look close and if spaced better I think lines would flow nicer. Also would reduce the height somewhat so that you can maintain clearance going over bumps, random potholes, etc.Worcester_spoon wrote:It is agreesive and I'd be keen to see how it's works with my aftermarket (MM) quad as from these pics it looks quite tight to them M exhaust set up. Worst comes to worst we can do a group buy to import the cheaper less aggressive Ebay option from USA?
