Removed my secondary cats.

Mine past an emissions test in December with a secondary cat delete . I had two fake cats fabricated . Just resonator shells over the top of the pipes , This was done just to satisfy the tester as he just needed something in place which resembled a cat so he could visually say it had the secondary cats . I've had Mike's back box mod post mot pass , but I'm sure it will still pass .

I removed the internals of the cats and welded them back up, so my car still looks totally standard underneath

Well those fastenings were a bitch! Mine only had one nut left but the corrosion had sized the studs in place so it wasn't leaking.

Ended up cutting them flush to the clamps with the recip saw, levering the clamps apart and then used heat on them until cherry and they tapped out reasonably easily.

Will get new gaskets and bolts tomorrow.

Car is definitely more responsive now that the massive flow reducing cats have gone, it actually feels like it's had a remap!

Just come to the shop in it, the "van route" is 6 miles - The Zed route is 16

I love it - There is an underpass 1/4 mile from our shop, I went through it 6 times in both directions

Its difficult to tell from a vid, especially on a laptop with crap speakers but whats your impression in terms of noise. Is it much louder etc?

Not much louder, but different tone, with more rasp, Jag F type noise

Alright Mike does it crakle and pop when you lift off the pedal . There's more pick up as well .
