What device gives oil temp please ?!

Are you sure the n52 3.0si engine has an oil temp sensor? I was under the impression it didn't.... If anyone can confirm before I bother purchasing the torque pro app it would be appreciated! Cheers

Ha ha, must be showing my age. I call a halt at fur dice though, and names on the sunscreen, so no need to kick me off the forum just yet.

Ed doe, the garage I used plugged an expensive Snap On diagnostics tool into the OBD2 port and it did see the engine oil temp so yes the car does know it, saw it myself.

Interesting. What wifi/BT adapter are you using? I have a wired Carly connector and I can only get the most basic I found with torque. Or is it a settings /config thing? Thanks Matt

Thanks. I am an android user also. I did use the official torque BT odb2 dongle but it was a bit of a pia as it doesn't allow any other BT devices to be paired on the same phone. Which was a shame as I wanted some real time readings like AFR and temps.

Disaster!! No Engine Oil Temp displayed on Android phone using Torque Pro App through Bluetooth to an ELM327 OBD adapter. In the configurable list green shows the useable ones and Oil Temp is black not green :(
Anybody any suggestions - Marius how did you get yours to work please?
