So my caliper paint has arrived, its dark blue to match my interior and I can't wait to get it done.

I was wondering if you lot would give the clips a wire wool and coat of clear lacquer, or just buy new ones for what it's worth?

I don't suppose anyone happens to have the part number for the clips? The cars a 2.5si

I'd paint them the same colour, or as you say buy new ones and laquer them. You can find part numbers on realoem.com

I originally purchased new clips and lacquered them, but they didn't last that long for me. Now I just give then a good rub down followed by a quick coat of smooth silver Hammerite :D

I have come in from prepping my rear calipers for paint, as they were getting a bit rusty. I'm going for a blue caliper and will rub down and paint the clips silver. Must get some new rear discs soon

+1 for keeping the clips silver.
Paint them or clean them up with an SOS Soap Pad (steel wool)
Easy to remove and paint the clips later if you change your mind.
When I did my brakes the pads came with new clips.
If you were over here you could have them. :(
Not sure if UK sourced brake pads come with hardware, but before buying new, you might just give the lads here time to respond.

Cheers
