locking wheel bolts

Post by LordOxygen » Fri Apr 28, 2017 5:15 pm

Hi,
I'd like to get some locking wheel bolts for my Zed, which in the ideal world can be fitted with black wheel bolt covers (to match the other bolts), though I expect that is wishful thinking. There's lots on ebay, for £25ish a set but not sure if there's better.
Is there a recommended source?
Any pointers welcome
thanks

Hi, what's wrong with your current locking wheel bolts?
I recently bought some bolt covers & they included 4 oversized ones to fit the larger locking bolts

I purchased a set of mcgard black editions for my wheels. They don't have covers but i reckoned that was a benefit as any potential thief may think twice and not touch the wheels instead of damaging them removing caps and then find the locking bolts.

these days i think if they want yer wheels they`ll have em

they all can be removed, there just a deterrent for the less equipped thief

As above with bojo
I've as had spacers fitted
Taken off my 2 sets of locking oem black ones
As I always double up on them
Currently 2 sets per wheel of McGaurd as longer
Come with gloss black caps of which look great
So guess I'll sell my 2 sets haha

I've got set of OEM plus a set of Mcgard. As already said, they are a deterrent nothing else, just to keep the local chavs at bay. If a thief is determined they will have them.

Words and mouth
Why the heck do people fit then cover lock nuts?
As cars up on bricks and nuts off till they find last nut is a locker

I use black ones to stand out in my car

I managed to break the locking nut adapter for a Volvo I once owned when I lived down in Hampshire. The local 'specialist' had the bolts off within about 5 minutes. I've never bothered with them since then!
Start the day with a smile, get it over with.
