Disc cover rattle
Hi, I noticed a rattle today when driving. It's coming from the cover plate behind the front brake disc, and it's loose. How does this fit on ? For the life of, I can't see.

Happened to me. The hub has to come off to replace it. The guard itself is £40 but the hub from BMW is £200. You can get a hub on the net for about £150.
On the other hand I was told that many people cut through the new guard so that it can be fitted without the hub removal but I dont like this idea.
I secured mine with the use of washers where it had come through which was the most fiddliest and frustrating job ever. Took hours of dropping and trying again as there is not much room.
This is just a stop gap until it needs to be done properly.

Did you remove the hub to fix it? Or just the disc?
