Yes, really agree there. After some fantastic sports seats in my Porker and E90, these are such a let down. Awful for long journeys too, unless you sit really upright and the front part of the seat fully raised.

Did you have a problem with the airbag system? I did the same swap but I have an airbag sensor on.

Did you remember to disconnect the battery?
You may just need someone with ISTA (or a similar utility) to reset it for you.
