There is a how to thread on this. You can buy a retro fit cable from BMW.
Cheers, I was only asking because it appears most things on the very early E85's were pre-wired, you just had to add the switches or units.
I take it, the buttons work the stereo ?
Your car will be prewired- easy retrofit
Thanks, that's what I wanted to know, so is it just fit the new wheel and the radio will work from the buttons ?

Let me know if you get one mate, would be interested to see if I can get the cruise buttons working on it.

No guarantees though! Even wired up correctly it might send different signals to the ECU. Worth a try though :)

Hey Everyone,
I have an ‘03 E85 and I want to get a new wheel for it, thicker and with a better leather. I’m considering using Royal Wheels in England but I’m in the Toronto area. I’ve looked on eBay over in the UK for a replacement wheel to get recovered.
Are most of these wheels interchangeable insofar as using an ‘04 or an ‘05 type thing? I don’t care about steering controls.

E85/E86 steering wheels will fit across the range. You may need the additional wire as stated earlier if you go mfsw. Royals do a fantastic job and I believe they ship worldwide. They do exchange too so drop them a message, they are very friendly . I had mine done there.
Zedless :(
