Z4 coupe concept vs production

Is that really a concept or just a pre production version?
Seems like a pre-face coupe (although that never existed).
Looks good without the aerial though!
3.0si roadster. Requisite stubby. Sound gen mod. LED numberplate lights. LED boot strip. Interior lights LED too. ZHP gearknob. Daily drive :driving:
Motor in boot. Bilstein B8 dampers. New radio, much better sounds

Its not really a article more a advertorial for the company that artworked the image about themselves .
These images are the 'pre production' clad in original Z4 bumpers vs the later Facelift Z4 models, more highlighting the changes from early Z4's to Later Z4, so not a major comparison.

It is a good reference point for Pre / Post facelift changes

AGREED!!
The early 'Rings' look like a nice considered design that compliments the car,
where as the later Facelift rears look more of a functional after thought.

Do you think it is possible to fit the first rear light on the E86 ? what would I have to change ? light and bumper ?

Yes it fits,
the issue is the shape of the bumper, as the underside of the light is less curved, so the bumper would have to be changed or modified.

Ill be honest though, in day light the facelift lights look pony compared to the originals, in the dark the facelift ones look Loads better.

The lights were always an issue for BMW as the 'French fry' was so expensive to manufacture and process- anders warming insisted it stayed as it was intergral to the design. The lights on the concept coupe would have been a happy compromise for the facelift but sadly they didn't materialise, as the facelift rear lights are IMHO really boring.
Z4 2.2 sterling grey,Msport seats,retrofit cupholders,cruise,footwell lights,sound gen and mfsw,18"ellipsoids,xenons+light washers,ZHPknob,folding mirrors,3"stubby,update wheel caps,gateway300 ipod, wind deflector to keep the wife happy!

This site has always had the best Coupe concept photos available: https://www.netcarshow.com/bmw/2005-z4_coupe_concept/

The interior is a bit twee, but I would love proper "full leather", inc dash and steering wheel hub, and metal air vent surrounds!
2008 Z4MC: heavy wheels | crap suspension | skittish rear end | wobbly engine | not enough induction noise | underwhelming turn in | inconsistent braking | lardy battery | chubby steering wheel
2006 Z4 2.5si: gone

Great addition to thread. I love such could have been, pre-production imagery.
