Ipod connectivity

Post by afennell » Fri May 19, 2017 1:51 pm

Im sure you guys have had this thread discussion loads of times before, i would like to know the pros and cons for each of the ipod connector options.

As far as i can tell i have three options. Intravee, Dice, and Dension.

I have the satnav screen with the DSP option.

Sorry for bringing this up again.

I have a Z4M with DSP & CD changer (so the worst combo to fit apparently) and it took 20 minutes to fit the intavee II.

Annoyingly I was told that it'd charge if I bought the official 30pin to 8 pin adapter (£40), but it doesn't. Apart from that it's a good product, gives you real time info and good sound.

Yes, it requires a 12 volt to 5 volt adapter. Scosche Passport used to be the default one to use but it's discontinued.

No idea why it doesn't charge. Going to call him tomorrow and ask! He said he had one and it worked, so maybe my car?

I bought a basic Dension unit (Gateway Lite). It's OK and easy to fit but a bit quiet so really need to turn up the volume. Also interferes with AM, there's probably an easy fix for this but I'm useless.
