Would you buy a Z with no heated seats?
Hi guys,
As you may have seen in my 'wanted' thread in the for sale section; I'm looking for another Z4.
I've seen a car in the ideal spec for me (Montego Blue, Grey seats etc) however the seats aren't heated.
Would I miss them and would it be hard to shift when I want to sell it down the line!??
My head says wait but I'm eager to find my new Z.
Matt

is it an SE ? I'd say depends how often you use them! I love mine but some people don't see the point of it!
IMO to make the most out of a roadster in uk you need heated seats

I use my heated seats all the time. Even on a summers evening, sometimes it may feel a bit chilly, so a quick heat up of the seats does wonders.
Wouldn't buy a Z4 roadster without them. Coupe, perhaps, but not a convertible.

That's my thoughts too. My last one had them and I used to love night time too down drives with the seats on. I guess I'll keep waiting for one to pop up. Oh and no it was a 'sport'. I presumed heated seats was standard on the Sport models but a lot for sale don't have the buttons.

Nope, wouldn't buy a roadster without heated seats in this country. Hang out for what you want.

My e85 didn't have heated seats and it never bothered me even during the winter when I would still have the roof down. My current e89 does have them and I do like them alot and do use them.
I would like them on any future cars but I know I could live with out them. For me they are on the nice to have list and if the car ticked all the other boxes I wouldn't be upset at not having them.

I've never felt the need for heated seats, but I'm down't south and only drive it in good weather. I think I'm right in saying that most e85's didn't have heated seats so it's a 'nice to have' option rather than an expectation for most.

I hardly use my heated seat but the wife loves hers, just got back from a jaunt and she had hers on, 17c too
What age is the Z your looking at OP, early ones have the wiring loom, so you should be able to get another set of seats and plug them in.
Remember, the heater in these cars is fantastic too.

It's a nice to have but shouldn't be a deal breaker if you find a mint car you like.
