Transport Mode - fix

Post by ESP » Thu May 25, 2017 10:26 am

There has been a topic about this previously ( viewtopic.php?t=20974 ), which normally happened with battery issues (dead and replacing).
How many of you have had this, and what’s your experiences been t the dealers? Can I just turn up and demand it reset, because I am in the area tomorrow so might try (without an appointment)?
Has anyone ever rocked up at a local independent garage and got this fixed? Is there an easy way to ‘De-code’ this yourself?

Transport Mode - fix

I bought a z4 a couple of months ago . Took car on a test drive and everything worked as it should .
On driving the car home noticed that the air con didn't light up , the fan only blew air out at a trickle and the resr windscreen defrost didn't work .
Also the clock won't set .....
Usually happens when the battery gets low .
I took mine to bmw and as I use them for my 5 series they helped out and reset the transport mode . I bought a. Ew battery as it was 10 years old .
Charged me nothing for the diagnostics and £125 for the new battery fitted so quite pleased .
