Post by Danz4coupe » Sat May 27, 2017 11:59 am

Had wheel alignment done on Hunter laser system at Tyre-smart in Witham Essex was SERIOUSLY off . All good now and they reset the steering sensor too so the dash warning lights i had have now gone. :D highly recommend them if you need it done, could tell they knew exactly what they were doing, let me watch and made me tea!!

Was the car ballasted to simulate the driver and 1/2 tank of fuel :)

That said after adjustment that should feel like a different car!

The one still red couldn't be adjusted anymore but was near enough. Drives so much better now.

Just had mine done at National tyres who have a deal on to re align fronts only for £15. Phoned the local dealers and asked if they would do the rears for the same and they said yes as long as I paid cash. All four done for £30 and the same laser technology and print outs :D

The place where I got the tyres fitted said they were out and wanted to charge £79.50 for all four.

Shy boys get nowt

The front has nearly a half a degree of difference, they told you BS as it can be adjusted. You need to remove the pins then the top plates will move a bit in slotted holes. I'd recommend going back and asking for maximum camber on both sides at the front. The rear is 'green' as it's to manufacturer specification but nearly 2.5 degrees of camber does the inners of your tyres no favours and makes the handling very understeery. I'd want about a degree less than you have, it's not dangerous (the M has closer to one degree).
