108 two tone or not two tone

Post by rich48848 » Tue Jun 13, 2017 5:22 pm

Thanks to a bargain set of 108's courtesy of GazHyde, I thought I'd see which I prefer?

I'm not yet 100% convinced on the two tone... What do you reckon?

I went with a slightly different 2-Tone and I am still very happy with my decision.

Original silver 108's on a black car work well, but otherwise 2 Tone always lifts the look for me

All silver on a black car. Dark wheels don't look good to me as you simply don't see the detail and it lacks contrast in particular on dark cars.

Make them 2 tone. The contrast does not have to be as dramatic as black to silver, but to emphasie the 2 part rims they need the star a different shade, or the lip to be chrome powder coated
Ultimately it's what makes you happy as everyone has different tastes

Looks good to me Rich, but as a fan of the wheels I sold you I'd probably say that
