10 days to go on this according to the website. I just got 5 litres of 10w60 plus an oil filter for my next interim oil change for £55 instead of £86 (I have 1ltr left over from my last one). Nice spot, thanks

Is this their usual "70% off!!! Except most items are actually 30% off like every weekend but shh!" sale that comes around every couple of months?

Yeah, I was mildly disappointed that it wasn't all costing me £30, but to be honest it's still a good deal and nice to get a heads-up as I don't usually see this sort of thing, and can't be arsed signing up only to end up with a mailbox (even more) full of spam.

Eurocarparts are rubbish for most stuff. Use carparts4less, same company without the stupid random discounts all the time and generally much cheaper anyway. 5 litres of Castrol 10w-60 £45 from them and free shipping.
Also, I don't believe ECP sell the OE oil filter for an M, which is made by Mahle (OX187(D)). Probably doesn't matter but I'd rather have OE personally. (About £7 from Opie Oils.)

Already discounted prices with a further 12% on carparts4less. So £4 off the Euro car parts price. But I have to wait 2-4 days for a delivery whilst I can collect what I've ordered when I'm passing tomorrow. As for the oil filter type, I didn't know that Mahle was OE - thank you. Crosland and seems to have been fine in the past, and avoids another delivery as well. For the sake of a fiver, I'm happy.

Yup horses for courses, fair point on carparts4less discounts though, just as bad buttttt still cheaper :) Rather have that fiver saved towards an OE filter :P
Crosland filter though..... :? Hmmmm,

Anyway, Opie Oils do it on EBay for £7.50 delivered I think, if you're interested for the next time, or anyone else doing interim oil on the M

It does mean a new alternator can be had for under £300, facelift front fog lamps for £60 each, a set of Bosch plugs and coils for about £170, set of brembo discs and pads for about £180 and a new MAF sensor for £200.... not bad if you're after any of these things I suppose.

But yeah, normal eurocarparts thing where there's always a sale on...

It's not that they don't offer the discounts, it just the disingenuous way their prices increase by almost the same amount as the new discount will save you...so there's no real saving week on week.

Looking further, I'm also sure the '70' in their offer code does not mean a 70% - from the few items I've tried, it looks like 36%.

One week a set of from M discs are £340 with no discount available, this week they're £540 but you get a MASSIVE 36% off (which is strange when the offer code seems to imply 70%) - which brings them back down to their 'normal' price!

Last month they were the same £340 with no discount available, and an offer came through...guess what...price had jumped to £480, but there was a 30% discount code available - so the price was actually still the 'normal' £340.

I think it's called 'marketing' :P

Quite - 'marketing' at its finest! Grab it while its cheap guys - we just won't tell you about the price hike while the offer is on, and the price drop when we end the offer ;-)

To give some perspective here guys. I paid £50 less than I would have normally for a new starter motor.

Some peoples glasses are always half empty pffft :poke:

It does say up to 70% off.
Maybe there are things on their site that are actually 70% off, just not what most people are looking for.

My glass is half full, some stuff on ECP is still cheaper elsewhere if you want to find it. Also depends if you want OE parts or happy with pattern parts, perspective is subjective ;)

The alloy cleaner is pretty good and 5 litres for just over 8 quid aint bad. See link below and add the current Crazy70 code.
