Hello all,
I just purchased a "new to me" '08 Si. I haven't owned a BMW since the late 90's and early 2000's so I'm getting back into the swing of navigating the many nuances that these beasts have.
The car runs great, isn't throwing any codes, has up to date service and new brakes/tires on all 4 corners.
I'm having the well documented intermittent radio issue with the business CD and Carver amp.
I'm thinking about going with an aftermarket head unit with bluetooth and an amp to replace the Carver. Planning to keep the 10 speakers that came with it. It has the DSP on it.
Can anybody offer any experienced insight in this endeavor that may help save headaches down the road?
Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum OP.
I had the 10 speaker set-up in my first Coupe, and while it was very good I didn't use it much as I loved the N52 sound-track.
Mu current Coupe has the billy-basic stereo, but in a cabin that small it works OK - plus this one has an exhaust with a smaller back-box, so I listen to the pops and bangs most of the time!
Sorry I cannot help with your question, but I'm sure someone will be along soon who can!
In the meantime you could always post some photos of your car - we like photos on here (in case you hadn't noticed).
