Being as objective (as I can), the Z4 is one of the best looking cars from the last 20 years. It works on a simple and complex level...the proportions are absolutely spot on, in the same way an e type works, the flame surfacing works perfectly on this car and is a Bangle classic. I haven't seen the article, but if it's in the top 10 of worst designs then I'm staggered by it. Although to be honest, who the f*ck buys Car magazine anyway, it's always been the absolute worst car mag from the main bunch....I even have to think twice when I've got a mind-numbing 12-hour flight to San Fran on whether I 'll buy it or not!

I love the Z4 design. Everyone I know who sees the Zed says the same and loves it. Bewildered at how it can be in the top ten worst designs!

I know a lot of car designers and they all agree that the Z4 (E85/6) is a great design and has aged incredibly well. In fact, 5 of them have Z4 coupes! I think that says it all!

Considering the Z4 shares a lot of characteristics with the e-type (and that's considered as one of the best cars ever) I'm surprised the journalist hasn't been fired!

Roof down the roadster wins, roof up the coupe wins. Just like every other coup/cab combo I can think of. It's strange the e85 would end up in a article like this, if anything it's got better with age for me. Back around circa 2004 when the z4 was just launched I much preferred the looks of the 987 boxster and particularly the Audi TT. I really thought the TT was the best looking car south of a £100k so much so I bought 2 back to back! these days to me the TT has aged considerably more than the others. Even the interior of the TT which is still nice but it has aged as much as the exterior. The boxster I would place second, still looks nice on the outside although a little dated, but the interior has faired far worse. Very dated for me. That leaves the z4, still looks fresh on the outside, maybe be not 2017 brand new out of the box fresh. But certainly not like the last one rolled of a production line 8 years ago. The interior, particularly the ones with out the sat nav binnacle still look pretty decent too, especially when compared to the other two.

To me the E85 has all the makings of a modern classic.

In 40 years time people will be looking at them with the same admiration given to E-types .... in my humble opinion.

Of course, by then, in order to drive them we will have had to rip out the engine and fill the space with batteries!

top 10 designer low points...... but Jesus look at what they've placed it with.....

how can they put it in with the likes of the hyundai matrix!!! literally shocked me.... genuinely the first time I've read anything like that about the z4 platform...
