Japanese sat nav is completely different, even the gps antenna is different, would be a major rip out and reinstallation job I'm afraid.
Tweaked my interest there now - so it's just the satnav that's in Japanese, or does that include the rest of the interface? Is the whole unit and harness different from the MV IV unit? Do you have any pics of it (and your interior)?

If it's the DVD unit and harness, I can see why it would be a major issue to rip and replace. There are forum threads detailing where owners have replaced the satnav with a tablet, is that an option for you?
See attached pics of my system, the rest of the interface was also in Japanese but this can be changed to English in the settings which I have done, it's just the navigation that is problematic.

Are Jap cars restricted or is that an urban myth?
Merlot 2.2i SE, so far new discs and pads, seats replaced, Cam cover replaced, Roof now fixed, new diff x3, new halfshafts, new drop links and other bouncy bits,

Previously imported Mitsubishi FTO that I owned was restricted, not sure about this one but suspect that it is.
