Z4 3.0i Se Roadster SMG

Post by M1TCH » Tue Jul 25, 2017 10:07 pm

Guys.

I trade in mainly sports cars but specialist in E46 M3's. Today I took in a car that I also sell but this is different. It's a merlot red roadster with the SMG box. Apparently it was owned by a celebrity ( yet to find out who it is ). It came with hard top and bmw stand and has only 52k miles. Question is how many of these cars with SMG gearbox ?

Not many, I've seen (on the forum) maybe only half a dozen? One of them a 2.5 and the rest 3.0

Thanks guys. Personally the SMG is the best box I have driven on this car. It's so easy and a great drive. Like the E46 M3 u have to get used to it. But owning both I would have smg every day of the week.

You do have to get used to the smg initially which is probably why not so many were sold. Once you are accustomed to it - it is ideal for a sports car. On spirited drives they are hard to beat for the fun factor and I still think it's a very clever system.

Talking of rare colours I wonder if that olive green 3.0 that was for sale a few months back ever found a home ?
