Hi does anyone know what this pipe is that looks crumpled and worn slightly ??

not to sure on this engine ... but it appears to be some heat shielding protecting a coolant pipe.... my s54 engined car has a similar type of pipe covering an air-con line , unfortunately it gets beat up really easily so i make sure mine is protected when i go near it,

Yeah looks air con to me... trace it to see where it connects to be sure though!

i can see a coolant fast remove clip on the other end, and i can also see an uncovered Air con line here too.

I'd go with aircon then... the foil like insulation suggests whatever travels through it needs to kept cool rather than hot.

As above looks very much like our aircon pipes buddy pic of m one running left of engine and connects to rigid A.c. pipe towards end if follow along
