Keeping calipers/inner wheel clean-
Hi all-is there a 'clever' way to clean calipers/inner wheel rather than spraying a hose/high pressure washer on them?-I recently had one stick and I am blaming myself for spraying a hose through the wheel probably causing crud to go over the caliper-thanks

Ive been blasting a hose in there for 9 year with no probs not a high pressure just regular garden hose.
I use a mit and various brushes and its done everytime I wash the car and they still look like this after a refurb few years ago.

A selection of Wheel Woolies Brushes, a bucket of suds and a hose pipe is all you need.

Same as GAZ, i make a point of blasting them with a hose/jet wash and never had this issue. Must just be bad luck?
Are you sure it wasn't a broken seal on the piston?
