I wish to remove the light switch / LCM to access the wiring at the back. The ISTA guide suggests removing the instrument cluster then the side vent and then the small trim panel before removing the LCM.
Is this the case or can the LCM be removed and the wiring accessed by just removing the trim panel?

Take the side vent out and the lower half of the steering cowling to reach around the back of it. That will give you all the access you need, no need to take the instrument cluster out.
