Stripes Or No Stripes

To rock the boat, it's not something I'd have originally considered but I think mac's Z4 at ZedFest looked good in silver with black stripes...

I have striped on my second car (a BMW mini) but it is the last thing I would do to a Z4. IMHO for some reason Minis look alright with stripes if not overdone (although I still prefer all black with nothing but black) but other cars can end up looking cheap.

Z4s don't need them, they are a beautiful looking car that look great on their own merit.

I like those - I have a bit of 'road rash' in that area (yes, I'm sure there's a cream for that.... boom boom

).
And since my car is black, they would hide the marks and blend in quite well.

Some of us grew up in the 70s and remember Hot Rod and Custom Car magazine . . .

My TVR Chimeara fulfilled my V8 obsession

but only for a time; the Z4M is my reliable 'German' version of such a 'sports car'. I hark back to the 70s when I quite fancied Wolfrace wheels, Cobra stripes and logos - would love a race number as well! Don't get me started on tyre lettering - I love that as well

But I have to agree the Z4 doesn't really suit such an interpretation. My Z4M makes me feel that way sometimes though - especially when driving on our favourite Northumberland back roads - on goes the hat and driving gloves and that's when I imagine a couple of white stripes would look particularly fetching on my red M
