No compatible ECU's with Carly?
Hey guys, was having a play with my OBD lead on Carly last night but in the coding section it says no compatible ECU's found? I set the car to E85 in the menu and in the diagnostics it does find 1 ECU, but nothing in the coding. I'm just running the Lite version at the mo.
Any ideas?

The "lite" version is restricted, no coding. It's just to ensure that the adaptor/phone combo will actually communicate with your car before you buy.ph001 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 4:05 pm Hey guys, was having a play with my OBD lead on Carly last night but in the coding section it says no compatible ECU's found? That's what concerns me. Couldn't find any compatible ecu's with the coding which would suggest it's struggling to communicate with it.

As I said, the "lite" version is restricted NOT to allow coding, and therefore I would expect it not to communicate.

Got you..but it does say in the instructions for the Lite that it allows you to 'see' what can be coded but can't actually change anything.

Probably the lead you're using. I'm sure you can run into issues if you're not using the comparable cable or wireless device?

Check this out bud, many people offering to do it FOC. Myself included. Means you can have a play around with the real thing... then if you still want to, you can purchase.

+1 on the lead. I had that issue with NavCoder and a laptop turns out the drivers weren't compatible. Loaded the right drivers and ECU's found.

Just noticed that I never concluded this thread. It was the lead that was the problem. Had to buy the Carly lead and it all works fine.
