Did you fit the overhang/offset less than most others?
on your car the skirt extentions look quite subtle.

Yes I’ve purposely made them quite subtle, plus I don’t want to stand on them lol

The fact my new front splitter stands out so much I wanted to keep the sides less aggressive.

Yes JINGLE went for the more subtle approach. Since the skirt extensions aren't pre-drilled you can position them to stick out as far or as little as you like. I think against the white side skirts the subtle look is great, on mine you'd hardly see them. It's interesting to see what way people prefer to go with them according to their own personal taste.

Edit: I keep posting the same comments as the previous post... My typing must be too slow!

That front splitter is nice, but is it even remotely possible to drive with all the speedbumps nowadays? (at least in the area where I live I get totally fed up with those horrorthings)

I've had my APR splitter on for a few weeks now and it's already scraped a few times. Thankfully it's quite robust and hasn't been damaged (or even left any noticeable marks I can feel for). Now I haven't lifted the car or looked under so we'll see what it actually looks like.

Around my area, speed bumps aren't too big an issue - maybe it's because I can anticipate them easily and slow down. It's the bumps/ruts in the roads and steep driveways/plaza entrances that I scrape on. My driveway isn't steep at all but if I don't exit on an angle it scrapes for sure (was never an issue without the splitter).

The thing to realize is the splitter doesn't decrease the ground clearance by much (1/8" maybe?) but extends the front of the car by another 3-4 inches which is the problem.

Looks very good! The subtle skirts definitely work well with your car/colour, and the CF skirts work well with the aero skirts. I'd be interested to see how the front edge lines up with the front of the aero skirts, I'd imagine it puts it slightly short because of the radius?

^^ This.

I have exactly the same problem. I have to exit the driveway at an angle or I scrape. Considering I have a shared driveway this isn't always possible. I'm pre programmed to take every precaution before a speed bump, the only time I've had to physically tend to a war wound was after pulling onto my own driveway at night.

I havnt had any issues yet and tbh I don’t think I will, I caught the fangs twice since owning it in 3 years, both times were just me not paying attention, and in the 1st 6 months of ownership. Ironically since lowering it I’ve not caught it since as I’m just naturally more conscious of it.

Hopefully I’m not tempting fate lol.

What do you want me to get a photo of rockstar? The front radius edges where they meet the front of the aero skirt?

Jingle, where did you get your number plate from? Is it just a vynil sticker? I've been looking at getting a similar one for mine.

Hi mate my older plate as below was the middle option on here (300mm x 63mm)
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 1096557132

ran this plate for a year no issues, your local police may not be as friendly as mine so do so at your own risk!

I ordered a couple of cheaper stick on plates when I got my new private reg.... big mistake they all came crap quality and missproportioned letters to plate ratio etc.... so I spoke to the bloke who I originally got my 1st plate off and he made me a custom sized plate slightly bigger then my 1st (which looks great but is tiny and pushing your luck lol) which worked out about 320mm x 80mm from here with the 56mm letters and looks like below

Drop him a message on Ebay as he’s really friendly, quick at replying and more than happy to help, I would happily recommend him and use him again! (Originally put on to him by Jonny Essex when he got his small plate)

Hope that helps

Saw these that might interest any of the carbon crew to match your skirts / splitters etc. Just another carbon piece to add on, I thought about it but have illuminated sills so decided not.

How much were your illuminated 1s? And are they easy to fit?

The ones I have aren't OEM. They look like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Brand-E85 ... SwoA9ZfAGs but nowhere near the price!! :o

I think I paid about £100. I'll see if I can find the place that did them again as they're not coming up on ebay and ebay wont show me far enough back in my purchase history (Too many purchases!! lol).

I made a quick video a while ago with them and my elight module for programming the headlights and rear lights to come on with the key. I still need to hide the red wire.

They were ok to fit, but I'd already previously retrofitted footlights to come on with the interior light so I wired these up the same. I don't know if you have footlights already but they were a bit of a pig to do trying to find the right wires. Every guide and post I've read had different coloured wires to use and mine were different even still! Having said that I'm not the best electrician so you could probably do it in half the time I did.

I followed the guide for Z3 footlights on Leatherz.com as it was pretty similar. And I couldn't find a specific step by step guide for the Z4, or at least one I could really understand.
